Student Government Association Campaign
Director of Marketing 

Spring 2023

Wanting to run for the Student Government Association at UGA is one thing, but putting the right people behind your campaign to make sure you secure the votes of the student body is another.

 

Tasked with creating a successful SGA Campaign as the Director of Marketing was incredibly exciting. With my previous experience on two other winning campaigns, I was excited to build and lead this one from the ground up. 

 

In short, within a two week campaign period, the “Together" campaign was able to win with my strategy and creative direction as their Director of Marketing.

the situation:

Our goal as a team was to transform the traditional formula of University Student Government Campaigns that felt impersonal and not intuitive towards our audience of undergraduate students. With only a two week campaign period, and a one month preparatory period, we had to put together this massive multimedia project that would be disseminated to the entire 38,000+ student population at UGA.

 

Made up of 3 social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, & BeReal), photography of our candidates, team, and supporters, a variety of videos highlighting the campaign, branding and messaging, physical media and merchandise production, to experiential marketing, our campaign was a true example of a fleshed out campaign with a variety of touchpoints to our audience.

branding process:

In late 2021, my good friend Ania approached me with the idea of wanting to curate a wellness lifestyle conference for young adults in the Greater Atlanta Area. 

This brand and event was truly formulated from scratch in conjunction with Ania. From January to May I worked with her developing the brand voice, goals, colors, logo design, all the way to the execution of a social media page and campaign to gain traction for her event.

My main ideology for the logo design was to incorporate the three candidates as well as the idea that they are representing the University brand. Thus, came the the three loop persona logo that stands for the three, George, Yuag, and Gabi, but also the three pillars of the UGA Arch, an iconic symbol of the University.
